Here's to new beginnings...

I walked away from a career in 2000, determined to never work in it again.

A few months later, I started the same career in a new city - San Francisco. That was so toxic that I left after 18 months.

I started the same career AGAIN in Southern California. It was so toxic it made me physically ill. Since I refused to abandon it, due to reasons of fear and insecurity, my body made the decision for me. I am now on disability, and am staring back surgery in the face AGAIN. (First was 30 years ago).

I can only promise you one thing - that I will never ever work in claims again, ever.

I think that the healing arts, green energy and living, and metaphysics/philosophy are going to be the big industries in the coming years.

I am seriously considering starting or joining a think-tank to challenge the failed policies that have wrecked our country for the past 25 or more years.

Let's remember to always make our priority that HUMAN NEEDS COME FIRST.

I have not heard a single politician address the issue of homelessness. Our country will continue to falter until we feed the hungry people in the streets.

This continues to be the reason that I strongly believe that there are others in different dimensions waiting for us to catch up with them. I completely leave my body.

I am also fascinated by how unbearable life is without a regular, steady dose. OMG. And it is so annoying when you simply cannot, especially over a period of days.

I try to re-read my Mayan Horoscope every month or so.

This passage is such an accurate portrayal of the amazing and loving relationships I have developed over the past 4-5 years, and the journey that has resulted.

I'm ordering Domino's.

This being sick is for the birds. It has been a long time since I felt this bad, so I can't complain too much.

I guess it is good practice for the upcoming surgery where I will be opened from head to toe again for the removal of my hardware and low back reconstruction.

After my surgery in 1979, I remember waking up and thinking that I had either been cut in half, or that I had died and that I was in Hell. (Yay! for my outgrowing Christianity, with its hellfire and damnation messages. How tiresome).

I think I need to buy a copy of "Frida" to get my mind ready for the battle. The look on our faces is not the only thing that we share.

I have never been too philosophical about my own difficulties in physicality, but this time is different. Whether my desire to become a philosopher is due to the wisdom of age, or the realization that none of us is in control of this life on the earth plane, it is time for me to take a new direction with my life. Why attempt the collection and cultivation of objects and things, when they are so transient? This journey of life is about the expression of compassion and love, and that's all.

"Cycle Shift"

"Well, look at this. All heaven is breaking loose, right here on Earth.

It's not like we didn't know this was coming. The prophecies and our own intuition have told us . . . something's gotta give. The "blue star" appeared late last year, heralding the next round of changes.

At the Full Moon in September, the reconfiguration went quantum with markets and systems and paradigms collapsing one by one, domino-style. Earth changes are intensifying. Every day, facades shatter. Illusions disintegrate. We're scrambling to keep up.

If we take a moment to center and breathe, really b-r-e-a-t-h-e, we can attune to the divinity underlying the seeming chaos. Feel into the changes. There's an excitement, a rumbling. A new day is dawning on Earth as love bursts through the cosmic veils. It's an honor, a sacred blessing, to be alive in these times.

When systems break down, something new can emerge that better serves humanity's evolution. This is a supreme gift of the shift: the potential for a quantum evolutionary leap into an enlightened state of being, ways more in harmony with each other, all creatures, the Earth and the Cosmos.

A planetary configuration during the Full Moon last month hinted at the possibility of an unexpected blow to reality as we know it. Turns out the financial markets would be the playing field. Economic, military and political realities are shifting by the moment. Notice how often the Plutonian term "meltdown" is used? Pluto re-enters Capricorn on November 26, transiting the sign of business, finance, institutions, corporations and government for the next 16 years. Expect further annihilation in sudden bursts as Pluto and Uranus square off in a revolutionary showdown.

Ultimately, upheaval results in balance. This is a beginning. A series of planetary transits over the next 20 years indicates radical changes beyond our wildest imaginings. We live in the Between Times, the cusp period between world ages. Every aspect of our existence will change as we metamorphose into new humans, and a new Earth. Western Astrology, the Mayan Calendar, the Vedas, indigenous prophecies and other spiritual teachings from around the world offer clues and guidance.

In these times of shifting realities, it's wise to prepare in a good way. Get sustainable. Become self-reliant. Circulate resources and gather with others who share similar values and intent. Form community.

Most of all, keep a positive focus. Lighten up. Learn to dance with the changes. As we make our way through 2012 and beyond, manifestation is accelerating. What we think becomes so, instantly. Release fear. Create from love. Feel the power. Share the bliss.
